Biography
Rogier Houwen (1992, Laren, The Netherlands) is a photographic artist who explores the boundaries of the landscape genre. Through a contemplative visual language, Houwen’s work reflects on the relationship between humans, their environment and their place in the cosmos.
In an era where our connection to the natural world is increasingly challenged, Houwen’s subtle, contemplative photography invites viewers to reconsider their place within the cosmic ecosystem.
Houwen completed his BA in Photography and Design at HKU University of the Arts in Utrecht in 2015 and exhibits his work internationally.
