Info

The photographic work of Rogier Houwen revolves around the unification of the mystical and the mundane.

Known for his meditative and playful qualities, he uses his artistic practice as a means to harmonise.

Through his eyes, the cosmic and the day-to-day are in a continuous interplay, unified in a fingerprint, a blank sheet of paper, a toothpick, a walk in the park and a cup of tea – all at once – happening under a shared cosmic circumstance.

Hinting at this shared circumstance – which interconnects all things – is at the heart of Houwen’s work.

Rogier Houwen’s photographs have been exhibited at galleries, museums and international art-fairs and are part of private collections.
